A memorial award fund has been established by family and friends of Ruth St. John to provide an annual award of $500 for a student who has completed one or more years of full-time study in a university transfer program (which includes at least three Science or Math courses) at the Penticton Campus of Okanagan College, and who is proceeding to any post-secondary institution the following September for a subsequent year of full-time study. The recipient must be intending to pursue a career in Science or Technology, and preference will be given to a female student who is returning for second year studies in Science or Technology at the Penticton Campus. Selection of the award recipient will be based on a combination of academic achievement and financial need.
