The George M. Miller Proficiency Scholarships
A gift from the late George M. Miller, Q.C. (1890-1977), former Sudbury lawyer and businessman who, in 1963, established the Laurentian University of Sudbury Endowment Fund which provides the income for these awards. Value: $500/ea. Recipients: the student with the highest academic standing after the 1st year of any program, and the student with the highest academic standing after the 2nd year of a specialized Bachelor of Arts in English.
