Donna Hill, a 2005 OUC graduate, has established an annual award of $500 for a student who has completed one or more years of full-time study in an Arts or Science (university transfer) program at any campus of Okanagan College, and who will return the following September to continue their studies or will proceed to UBC-Okanagan to complete their degree. The recipient must be a permanent resident of the Okanagan College region and pursuing a program of study and intended career goal in the Humanities field. Preference will be given to a single parent or someone with a permanent disability. Selection of the award recipient will be based on a combination of academic achievement and financial need, with emphasis on financial need.
Selection is based on academic standing in secondary school and/ or post-secondary studies. Other factors may be taken into consideration such as participation in school activities, community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.
