Established in 2004 by the Macdonald Class of 1968, the Oval Awards are presented annually to two third-year undergraduate students, one in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and one in the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. In addition to having high academic standing, the recipients must also have actively participated in student life and/or athletic activities in a manner that reflects both achievement and an appreciation of the value of student life on the Macdonald Campus. Members of the Class of 1968 continue to appreciate and benefit from their Macdonald education and remember "The Oval" as a centre of the campus during their years at the College as well as a symbol of the heritage and spirit of Macdonald.
