UCFV ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
UCFV provides a number of academic scholarships every year to continuing students in each of the instructional divisions as outlined below. The intent of these awards is to recognize and support exceptional academic performance.
Applicants for these awards use the standard application process set out by the UCFV Financial Aid and Awards office. Applicants must have achieved a minimum 3.5 GPA in a minimum of 24 course credits over the previous fall and winter semesters of the current academic year. An exception will be for applicants from the College and Career Preparation (CCP) program, which will require 12 course credits. The application must be accompanied by a letter from the applicant stating his/her educational and career goals.
Students with documented disabilities, who require study at a reduced course load, must have achieved a minimum 3.5 GPA in a minimum of 24 course credits over the previous 2 academic years. A "Verification of Disability" form available from Disability Services, must be attached.
Hayes Stewart Little Award
1 award, $500; for strong students with evident motivation who may not necessarily be in the top 5% academically and who demonstrate financial need; available to students entering a certificate, diploma or degree program in business at either the management or support level. Preference given...
Dale Francis Memorial Awards
2 awards, $800 each; available to students in Hospitality Management; based on motivation, participation, financial need, and recommendation of Hospitality department. No application necessary. Funds issued in December.
The Lions Club of Sudbury Bursary
Established by the Lions Club of Sudbury and awarded to a student in any year of any program, who can demonstrate financial need, and is a resident of Ontario, as defined by OSAP. Two awards valued at $500 each. Application is required.

Graduating Class of Law 1950 Bursary
One or more bursaries totalling $1,100 have been endowed by the Law Class of 1950. The awards are made to a student or students entering the second or third year of studies in the Faculty of Law with preference given to third year students.
Graduating Class of Dentistry 1978 Scholarship

Walter Shukin Memorial Scholarship
