The award is made on the joint recommendation of the Faculties of Applied Science and Science to a student entering the penultimate year of an undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mining and Mineral Process Engineering, Metals and Materials Engineering, or Honours Geology. The scholarship is renewable for the final year provided scholarship standing is maintained. Candidates will have demonstrated a sincere interest in the mining, metallurgical or chemical industry, be eligible to work in Canada, and show promise and leadership.
