D'ARCY M. DOHERTY SCHOLARSHIPS
Established in 2001 by the Uplands Charitable Foundation in honour of D'Arcy M. Doherty, B.Com. 1931, for outstanding students entering any full-time undergraduate degree. While academic standing is of primary importance, account may be taken of qualities of leadership in community and school activities. Awarded by the University Committee on Scholarships and Student Aid.
Value: minimum $2,000; renewable.
Malaspina University-College Entrance Award for Students with Disabilities
1 award, $700; for academic achievement, available to first year students with a disability, enrolling in a full-time course load. Financial need will also be considered. Apply to Financial Aid & Awards office by January 15. Funds issued in March.
Dale Francis Memorial Awards
2 awards, $800 each; available to students in Hospitality Management; based on motivation, participation, financial need, and recommendation of Hospitality department. No application necessary. Funds issued in December.
Separator Engineering Limited Bursary
Open to undergraduate students enrolled in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering. Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic standing. Value: $1,100.
The John H. Trueman Scholarship (H)*
To be awarded to the student who has completed Level I and who, in the judgment of the Department of History, has achieved notable academic standing in medieval history.
