Community Entrance Awards
Community Entrance Awards recognize students who have demonstrated a commitment to school and/or community leadership, the contemporary arts or the sciences. First Nations applicants are encouraged. Minimum average of 80% is required.
Sabo Cross Accounting Scholarship
1 award, $500; available to recognize the top Accounting student graduating from fourth year. No application necessary. Funds issued as a cheque in June.
Warner Hewer Newton Memorial Award & Purchase Prize
1 award, $250; available to full-time first-year students in the Visual Arts Diploma program who will be returning for second year and who attended high school in Nanaimo; for academic achievement and promise in the field. No application necessary. Funds issued in April.
Don F. Hammond Scholarship
1 award, $300; for academic standing, instructor recommendation and promise in the field of silviculture; available to second-year Forest Resources Technology students. No application necessary. Funds issued in March.
George & Daisy Fraser Awards in Music
2 awards, $500 each; to continuing students in the Music program showing exceptional promise in piano, with a minimum GPA of 6.00 and recommendation of the Music department. No application necessary. Funds awarded as a tuition credit for the fall term.
