Established by the late Mrs. Ethel M. Bennett, widow of Mr. Harold Bennett, former president of the University (from 1961-1963). Mr. Bennett was an active member of the Board of Governors and served in many capacities during his term (1960-1972). Value: $800. Recipient: a full-time student entering the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate program on the basis of academic standing in the previous year. Preference is given to students enrolled in a bilingual program.
Selection is based on academic standing in secondary school and/ or post-secondary studies. Other factors may be taken into consideration such as participation in school activities, community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.
