Students in the Community Scholarships
Conditions: Awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing entering the second, third, or fourth year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Arts who demonstrate a strong desire to pursue summer volunteer experience within a non-profit organization. Recipients will be selected on the basis of the proposed volunteer experience. The experience must be directly related to course work in the Faculty of Arts. Students must submit a letter outlining how the volunteer experience will directly relate to coursework taken in the Faculty of Arts along with documentation and details of their proposed involvement in the community. The letter should be accompanied by a statement from the non-profit organization or institution involved indicating the level of funding being offered, if any, and a statement by the student of the estimated costs, including loss of income that would be a consequence of assuming the position.
Dr. Doreen (Rowse) Pachal Bursary
To be awarded to an entering student on the basis of financial need and academic merit, who is attending Brandon University from a province outside of Manitoba. Award may not be shared.
