Conditions: Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing (minimum grade point average 2.7) entering the second, third, or fourth year of the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science (Food Science and Technology major) degree program or the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural/Food Business Management (Food Business Management Major - Food Processing Specialization) degree program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences. Recipient will be selected on the basis of leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities, especially those that relate to the processing and distribution of food. Preference will be given to a student whose family income is derived primarily from some aspect of the canola industry; however, students from other industries related to Food Business Management or Nutrition and Food Science are also eligible.
