Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards

The Gold ($2,500), Silver ($2,000) and Bronze ($1,500) awards recognize the academic achievements of the top three students who are entering 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of study.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a computer science major 20 credit programme (BCS or BSc) with at least 2.0 credits per term in the student's two academic terms prior to the award assessment; have completed at least five credits per year of study towards their computer science degree (incl. transfer credits), have completed all applicable CSCI Core Courses required that year and must have at least one academic term of 2.0 credits or more to complete for their computer science degree. All eligible students are automatically considered for these awards which are based solely on cumulative GPA. Students are assessed following the winter term.

The Alumni Faculty Entrance Scholarships

Value: $500/ea. Recipient: one student in each of Sciences/Engineering, Arts (Humanities or Social Sciences), Professional Schools and Management. Based on academic standing (min. 80%) in an Ontario secondary school (in six OACs or U/M courses) and financial need. Laurentian University Application for Entrance Awards required.

North Douglas SYSCO Foodservices Scholarship

1 award, $250; for high achievement upon graduation from the Culinary Arts program. Students must be planning to enter the BC Apprenticeship program. No application necessary. Funds issued at graduation.
