AVAILABLE TO: A UCFV student entering the second or, preferably, the third year of a program of studies at UCFV and taking a minimum load of three concurrent courses. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant.
STIPULATIONS: The UCFV Awards committee will select the recipient in accordance with the following criteria:
1. The applicant must be a student entering the second or, preferably, the third year of a program of studies at UCFV and taking a minimum load of three concurrent courses.
2. The applicant should have a demonstrated commitment to completing the selected program of studies.
3. Students meeting the first two criteria are eligible to apply; however, preference will be given to UCFV employees and their children.
4. Academic performance is a main selection criterion; consideration will also be given to demonstrated need. In cases where two or more applicants are considered equal in terms of other criteria, the criterion of need will be applied to differentiate among the applicants.
5. Write a brief (200-300) statement describing your career and educational goals as well as explaining how you meet the criteria listed above.
6. The award will be made as tuition credit upon notification by the Office of the Registrar of the recipient's enrollment in accordance with criterion #1 above.
Criteria: Completed the second and final year of the Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology Program and is graduating with a Diploma of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology credential. Attained a high academic achievement. Demonstrated superior laboratory performance.
Value $2,400. Awarded annually to a deserving student enrolled in the Second year of the School of Architecture program an award of $1,200; and to a deserving student enrolled in the Third year of the School of Architecture program an award of $1,200.
