Available to all incoming undergraduate and graduate students in a degree or diploma program in Music. Awarded on recommendation of the Department of Performance and the Department of Theory.

Virginia Southwell Music Award
1 award, $300; awarded to a deserving student attending the Nanaimo Campus who shows promise in the Music program. Award alternates annually between Classical and Jazz programs. No application necessary. Funds awarded as a tuition credit for the fall term.
Ted Stroyan Memorial Scholarship
1 award, $500; for academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and promise in the field; available to students in the Carpentry & Residential Construction program. No application necessary. Funds issued at graduation.
The Colilli Family Bursary
Donated by the family of Dr. Paul Colilli, professor in the Department of Modern Languages. Value: $500. Recipient: a full-time student entering any year of the Italian Studies degree program, on the basis of financial need and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Application required.
Lionel Shapiro Awards for Achievement in English
