A scholarship of $1,700 has been endowed for students in the second or higher year of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering or Geological Engineering by Westmin Resources Limited. This award is made on the basis of both scholarship and demonstrated interest in the mining industry, on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Mining and Mineral Process Engineering or Director of Geological Engineering. The award will normally alternate between the two departments.
