Nursing Undergraduate Society Leadership Award

Two awards of $250 each are offered by the Nursing Undergraduate Society to graduating students of the May and November cohorts who are dedicated to the nursing profession and have strived to improve the social environment of UBC nursing students through volunteer activity. Candidates are nominated by their fellow students through the Scholarship Committee of the School of Nursing.

David & Margaret Bradbury Award

1 award, $275; available to full-time students in any program; based on GPA and a demonstrated history of community service. Apply to Financial Aid & Awards office by January 15. Funds issued in March.

Clifford C.F. Wong Scholarship (Management)

Endowed in 1989 by the late Clifford C.F. Wong, B.Arch. (1960) to recognize distinguished academic standing. Awarded by the Faculty of Management Scholarships Committee to a continuing student having completed at least one year in the Bachelor of Commerce program. Value: $1,500.

Herbert C. Caley Award

Preference given to students specializing in the performance or history of Baroque and early music. Open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Established by Mrs. Maude Caley in memory of her husband who died December 24, 1980. Value: $600.

The Somerville Scholarships (O)

Established in 1966 by bequest of William L. Somerville, architect of the McMaster University buildings of 1930. Value: $800

The Kenneth W. Taylor Book Prize (SS)*

To be awarded to the student who, in the judgment of the Department of Economics, has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in courses within the areas of monetary economics and financial institutions, and of public finance. Value: $100 for books
