A $9,500 scholarship has been endowed by William E. Messenger. The award is offered to a doctoral student in English on the recommendation of the Department of English, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Selection is based upon academic achievement, participation and contribution to school activities, leadership and citizenship as well as volunteer and/or community service. Must be entering a full-time BCIT credential program.

This award honours Leo Neufeld, the former head of the Mathematics Department at Camosun College for more than 25 years. It is presented annually to a Camosun College Mathematics student for outstanding achievement in Mathematics, particularly linear algebra.
