The Okanagan Science & Technology Council has established two annual awards of $500 each for students who are enrolled full-time in the second year of a technology diploma program at Okanagan College. Preference will be given to students who are permanent residents of: (1) the Okanagan College Region; or (2) British Columbia. Selection of award recipients will be based on highest cumulative grade average. Application for this award is not necessary; all students fulfilling the aforementioned criteria will be considered.
Selection is based on academic standing in secondary school and/ or post-secondary studies. Other factors may be taken into consideration such as participation in school activities, community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.
Preference will be given to applicants in the following order: Applicants from Campbell River, the Comox Valley, Nanaimo/Ladysmith, the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island North, Port Alberni, or Parksville/Qualicum. Other applicants entering the program.
If you are a student with an A- standing who has not been awarded one of the continuing entrance scholarships, you will automatically be awarded an in-course scholarship for the following year.
