Established by Mr. Ron Henderson and Mrs. Loris Brochu, beloved sister and brother of Kelly Ann Henderson, in remembrance of Kelly Ann Henderson, a devoted mother of two who found the courage and determination to successfully acquire two university degrees while at the same time balancing the challenges of school and family life. The award valued at $1,500 annually, will be paid to a female student enrolled in any year of the Social Work or Native Human Services Program. To qualify, students must have demonstrated financial need, and good academic standing. Applicants must also have demonstrated sincere effort and commitment to their academic endeavours. Selection is based on academic standing in secondary school and/ or post-secondary studies. Other factors may be taken into consideration such as participation in school activities, community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.
