University Faculty Awards (UFA)
The goal of the University Faculty Awards program is to enhance the recruitment, retention and early career progression of women and Aboriginal people in tenure-track faculty positions in the natural sciences and engineering, in Canadian universities, by providing opportunities for them to establish a strong research record.
George & Daisy Fraser Awards in Music
2 awards, $500 each; to continuing students in the Music program showing exceptional promise in piano, with a minimum GPA of 6.00 and recommendation of the Music department. No application necessary. Funds awarded as a tuition credit for the fall term.
RR Smith Bursaries in Education
1 bursary, $500; for deserving students in good standing in the Bachelor of Education or Post Baccalaureate programs.
JARDINE BURSARIES
Three bursaries, available to students in academic programs in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Awarded on the basis of financial need. Value: $1,000 each.
The Catherine MacNeill Prize (O)
To be awarded to a woman student in her graduating year who has attained notable standing in scholarship and has shown qualities of leadership. Students should submit an application to the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships by April 15th.
The School of the Arts Scholarship In Music (H)
To be awarded to a student who, in the judgment of the School of the Arts, has demonstrated academic excellence in Music.
The Sheila Scott Scholarship In English (H)
To be awarded to the student who has completed Level I and an additional 60 - 75 units of the Honours English program, and who attains the highest Sessional Average.
The Shell Canada Scholarships In Engineering And Management (E)
Three scholarships to be awarded to students who have completed Level I and at least an additional 110 units of a program in Engineering and Management. Awards will be based on scholarship and on the quality of and creativity shown in written and oral reports.
