Entrance Scholarships
If you are entering Carleton with an admission average of 80 percent or better, you will automatically be considered for one of our Entrance Scholarships. The admission average we use is calculated from the marks submitted by your high school in support of your application, and may be a combination of early/interim or final marks. You may be offered an entrance scholarship provided the University's Admissions Services receives your complete application for admission (either directly or through the Ontario Universities Application Centre) by June 15. No additional application is necessary. All entrance scholarship recipients entering first year studies are guaranteed a space in residence. An A- average or better is required to maintain a renewable entrance scholarship. If a renewable scholarship is lost in one year, it can be regained in future years.
Ramsay MacDonald Memorial Entrance Award
Selection is based on academic standing in secondary school/post-secondary studies. Preference will be given to an applicant who is a graduate of a secondary school in School District #35 Langley.
Nicholas Plecas Aquaculture Scholarship
1 award, $1,000; for academic achievement and proficiency in the field; available to returning second-year Fisheries & Aquaculture students. No application necessary. Funds awarded as a tuition credit for the fall term.
Nanaimo Home Support Association Awards
2 awards, $250 each; for students enrolled in the Home Support Resident Care Attendant program at the Nanaimo Campus; based on demonstrated clinical and academic excellence, leadership and the recommendation of the department. No application necessary. Funds issued at graduation, (February and June)
