Conditions: To be awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the third year of the BSc Honors or Specialization program in Plant Biology. Recipient will be chosen on the basis of academic standing. If no appropriate student can be found in the Plant Biology Program, the Department will consider nominating a student with superior academic achievement who is focusing his/her studies on plants within the broader framework of other Honors & Specialization Programs within Biological Sciences such as Environmental Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Molecular Genetics, or Physiology & Developmental Biology. Such a nomination will require a statement written by the student (1 page maximum) documenting how his/her program and activities reflect a special commitment to the study of plants.
