Conditions: To be awarded annually, one award to a Golden Bear and one award to a Panda, to students with satisfactory academic standing (on a minimum of 18 credits taken during the previous academic year) who are members of the University of Alberta Swim Team. Recipients will be selected on the basis of excellence in their sport, leadership qualities, and a demonstrated commitment to the team. Preference will be given to athletes who have competed in the sport of diving and who are not already in receipt of other financial awards (ie Jimmie Condon, Universiade, National Carding). In the event that there are no qualified applicants from the Golden Bears or Pandas Swim Team, this award may then be given to members of any other Golden Bears or Pandas Varsity Team.
