STIPULATIONS: The students who are awarded the Doug McDowell scholarship must satisfy the following criteria:
-have demonstrated genuine interest and considerable ability in mathematics.
-have taken at least four mathematics/statistics courses beyond the first-year level.
Applications are welcomed from career or volunteer fire fighters who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled in the Fire and Safety Studies Dipoma Program, Fire Services Leadership Diploma, or the Bachelor of Fire and Safety Studies Degree Program.
1 award, $350; available to an outstanding student in the Jazz program, as nominated by faculty, based on musicianship, personal qualities and potential to contribute to Canadian music. No application necessary. Funds issued in March.
