-TARA member for at least three months prior to the election at AGM in March
-GPA of 2.00
-Level and quality of participation and support of TARA's goals and activities

-Recipient decided by a vote of the TARA student club membership during the AGM held each March
Tom & Josie Michael Memorial Award
1 award, $400; for financial need; available to first year students whose permanent residence is in Ladysmith, Cedar, or North Oyster district. Apply to Financial Aid & Awards office by January 15. Funds issued in March.
William B. Somerville Memorial Award
1 award, $500; available to students in the Heavy Duty Mechanics program, who have achieved a minimum "B" average; based on financial need and faculty recommendation. No application necessary. Funds issued upon graduation.
The Lions Club of Sudbury Bursary
Established by the Lions Club of Sudbury and awarded to a student in any year of any program, who can demonstrate financial need, and is a resident of Ontario, as defined by OSAP. Two awards valued at $500 each. Application is required.
Gopal and Sudhir Khare Memorial Prize
