Vernon Vipers Scholarship
The Vernon Vipers Junior A Hockey Club provides an annual award of $2,000 for a student who has completed one or more years of full-time study in any university transfer, degree or diploma program at the Kalamalka Campus of Okanagan College and who will be returning the following September for a subsequent year of full-time study. The recipient must be a permanent resident of Canada and must demonstrate a strong involvement in community affairs, either within the Okanagan College community or in the community where they reside. Selection of the award recipient will be based on academic achievement.
Delinea Design Consultants Award
1 award, $500; available to students in the Interior Design program, awarded for excellence in drafting and an inclination, aptitude or interest in architecture. Based on faculty recommendation. No application necessary. Funds issued in April.
Canadian Hospitality Foundation Hospitality Excellence Award
1 award, $750; available to students who have completed the first year of the Hospitality Management program, for professional promise, scholastic work, financial need and extracurricular activities, planning to enter some branch of the food service industry. Department nomination submitted in March of each year.
David E. Jones Award
1 award, $500; available for International students demonstrating outstanding achievement, on recommendation of the department. No application necessary. Funds awarded as a tuition credit for the fall term.
Green Mountain Services Ltd. Bursary
1 bursary, $200; for financial need; available to Forest Resources Technology students.
CLASS OF 1953 BOOK PRIZE
Graduates of the class of 1953 (Agriculture and Household Science) have established a fund to provide a prize in books for the student with the highest standing in all the courses of the second year curriculum in the B.Sc.(Agr.)/B.Sc.(Ag.Env.Sc.), B.Sc.(F.Sc.) and B.Eng.(Bioresource) programs. Value: $500.
