Richard Adams Award
Established in 1990 by a generous donation from Richard Adams to encourage and promote the study of marine biology. Awarded for high academic standing in marine biology courses to an undergraduate student continuing in the B.Sc. program. Preference will be given to students intending to undertake marine biology courses or research at off-campus field stations. If in any year there is not a suitable candidate at the undergraduate level, consideration will be given to graduate students doing research in marine biology. Awarded by the Faculty of Science Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Department of Biology.

Peter N. Affleck Memorial Graduate Scholarship in Forest Policy
A $1500 scholarship is for a graduate student in Forestry with preference for a student pursuing studies in forest policy. The scholarship is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Beverley Maureen Becker Memorial Prize
The award is made to the top ranking student in the advanced reference course in the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies, and is made on the recommendation of the School.
Brenda Hanson Memorial Scholarship in Forestry
The award is offered to a graduate student in Forestry specializing in integrated forest resource management and timber supply analysis. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Forestry in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Iser Steiman Memorial Scholarship in Translation
The scholarship is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Creative Writing to a student who has shown ability in the art of translation. The candidate's financial circumstances may also be considered.
