The Sudbury Branch C.I.M.M. Rudolph (Rudy) Kneer Memorial Bursary

Donated by the Sudbury Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy as a memorial to Rudolph (Rudy) Kneer for his dedicated commitment to the Canadian mining industry, particularly in Northern Ontario. He received the Institute's Medal for Distinguished Service in 1979. As founding editor of Northern Ontario Mining News, he combined his love of the newspaper business with his inclination to relate with people in all facets of the industry. Value: $800. Recipients: students entering the 3rd year of the Engineering program, on the basis of financial need, academic standing, demonstrated leadership, and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP.
