The Gerald (KStJ) and Marguerite Lougheed Scholarship

The Lougheed family is recognized in the region for its philanthropic accomplishments and commitment to caring for others. This scholarship was established in this spirit and to honour Gerry Lougheed Senior's Knighthood in the Order of St. John by Governor General Ray Hnatyshyn in 1990. Value: $1,200. Recipient: a resident of the City of Greater Sudbury who has attained a min. 80% average in the secondary school examinations required for admission to the University. The student must present (1) a recommendation from the head of the Department of English or Français of their secondary school stating that he or she has demonstrated excellent literacy skills, and (2) a personal data sheet outlining community involvement.
