One or more scholarships for graduate students possessing high academic standing and a special aptitude for research and wishing to undertake postgraduate work in the field of British Columbian history.
David Carton MacDonald Memorial Award
Value $300. Awarded annually, on the recommendation of the Chair of the Department of English Language and Literature, to the student with highest standing in the graduating class in Honours English who has a special interest in modern literature.
Sabo Cross Accounting Scholarship
1 award, $500; available to recognize the top Accounting student graduating from fourth year. No application necessary. Funds issued as a cheque in June.
Harry Barker Memorial Prize in English
Bequeathed by the late Miss Dinah Lee in memory of the late Mr. Harry Barker. Awarded to the student with the highest standing in English in the initial year. Awarded on recommendation of the Department of English. Value: $700.
The Comparative Literature Prize (H)*
To be awarded to a student in an Honours program in Comparative Literature who, in the judgment of the Comparative Literature Program, has achieved notable standing in Level II.
The European History Prize (H)
To be awarded to a student graduating from an Honours program in History who, in the judgment of the Department of History, has displayed outstanding achievement in European history courses consistently throughout the degree program.
The Moulton Hall Residence Scholarship (O)
Awarded to the student who resides in the residence with the highest Sessional Average (at least 9.5) in an undergraduate program, with the exception of those in their graduating session.
Martha Neilson Award
Award Criteria: a student enrolled in a health related field preference given to a student who demonstrates a particular interest in geriatric care
Agricultural Bursary
An $900 bursary has been endowed for a student in Land and Food Systems from a rural area, other than the Fraser Valley, who has completed at least the first year.
