Alumni Entrance Scholarship
CRITERIA
Candidates must be students in their final year of study in a secondary school who will be seeking admission into first-year undergraduate study at York University in any discipline. Candidates must possess a minimum admission average of 90% and will have other accomplishments such as leadership in community service, achievement in arts or sports, or excellence in other areas of individual endeavour which demonstrate the wholeness of the person and grace of character. Please note that only Canadian citizens/permanent residents/protected persons are eligible for these awards.
Don F. Hammond Scholarship
1 award, $300; for academic standing, instructor recommendation and promise in the field of silviculture; available to second-year Forest Resources Technology students. No application necessary. Funds issued in March.
Malaspina University-College Forestry Awards
2 awards, $500 each; available to full-time first year students in the Forest Resources Technology program; based on academic achievement, professional promise in the field, and recommendation of the department. No Application necessary. Funds issued in March.
The Abitibi-Consolidated Inc. Bursaries
Value: $750/ea. Recipients: full-time students entering any year of any program, on the basis of financial need and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Application required.

H.M. Mackay Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1932 as a memorial to the late Henry M. Mackay, formerly Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Awarded to a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident in the First Year in Engineering. Value: $1,600.
The McMaster Nursing Alumni Memorial Prize (HSc)*
To be awarded to a student who in the judgment of the School of Nursing, has demonstrated leadership while participating in undergraduate activities.
The Harry Waisglass Book Prize (SS)
To be awarded to a student graduating from a program in Labour Studies who, in the judgment of the Committee of Instruction for Labour Studies, has demonstrated outstanding achievement. Value: $50 for books
Michael Pallan Memorial Scholarship
These entrance scholarships have been provided to support students from Campbell River enrolling in a trade or vocational program at NIC's Campbell River Campus. The recipients must have clear career goals and be attending on a full-time basis.
Agricultural Bursary
An $900 bursary has been endowed for a student in Land and Food Systems from a rural area, other than the Fraser Valley, who has completed at least the first year.
Jessie L. McLenaghen Scholarship
The award is made to an outstanding undergraduate student entering third or fourth year of the Human Ecology major of the B.Sc. (Food, Nutrition & Health) program and is given on the recommendation of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems Awards Committee.
William W. Wood Memorial Scholarship
