North Douglas SYSCO Foodservices Scholarship
1 award, $250; for high achievement upon graduation from the Culinary Arts program. Students must be planning to enter the BC Apprenticeship program. No application necessary. Funds issued at graduation.
Annie May Beck Education Awards
3 awards, $1,000 each; available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program; preference will be given to graduates of School District #68 (Nanaimo). Apply to Financial Aid & Awards office by January 15. Funds issued in March.
Carol Matthews Community Service Award
1 award, $300; for continuing students in Human Services programs, who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community involvement, community service, and leadership qualities and skills. No application necessary. Funds awarded as a tuition credit for the fall term.
Ted Stroyan Memorial Scholarship
1 award, $500; for academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and promise in the field; available to students in the Carpentry & Residential Construction program. No application necessary. Funds issued at graduation.
Otilya & Thomas Ploos Van Amstel Bursary
2 bursaries, up to $500 each; for financial need and satisfactory academic standing; available to students undertaking a Nursing program or Home Support Resident Care Attendant program leading to work in the geriatric or senior citizens health care field.
Herbert J. Brennen Scholarships
