An award fund has been established by the Kelowna & District Assn. of Japanese Canadians to provide an annual award of up to $500 for a student who is a Canadian citizen of Japanese descent and a permanent resident of School District No. 23 (Central Okanagan). The recipient will have completed one or more years of full-time study in a university transfer, degree or diploma program at the Kelowna Campus of Okanagan College and will be proceeding to any post-secondary institution for a subsequent year of full-time study. Recipients will demonstrate good character and citizenship. Selection of the recipient will be based on a combination of academic achievement and financial need.
