Established in 2001 by his wife Evelyn, M.Sc. 1963, children Morie, B.Eng. 1987, M.Eng. 1989 and Stephen, relatives, friends and former students in recognition of the dedication of Dr. Alfred S. Malowany, B.Eng. 1959, M.Eng. 1962, Ph.D. 1967, as a teacher and mentor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Malowany spent 43 of his 61 years at McGill; his fulfilment was in his interactions with his graduate students. Awarded to a graduating student by the Faculty of Engineering Scholarships Committee upon recommendation of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Preference will be given to a female student in good academic standing who intends to pursue graduate studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
