Established to honour Mrs. Marie Goring by her family and friends. Mrs. Goring moved to the Sudbury area as a nurse and this award is intended to encourage young nurses to dedicate themselves to maintaining academic and clinical excellence in their chosen profession. The 'Marie Goring Bursary' is awarded to two students in good academic standing in any year of study in Nursing at Laurentian University, who have demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, can demonstrate financial need, and are residents of Northern Ontario.
