Donated by the Geological Association of Canada and Mineralogical Association of Canada, a scholarship valued at $500 is awarded annually to a full-time student entering the second year of the Geology or Environmental Earth Sciences programs. To qualify, students must have achieved a minimum 80% average in GEOL 1006 and GEOL 1007, and an overall 70% average in the remaining first year courses of either program. The successful candidate will be required to enroll in 12 GEOL credits in the session for which the award is paid. The scholarship is awarded on the recommendation of the Earth Science Department.
Applications are welcomed from learners enrolled in a program consisting of 10 or more credits within the Corrections and Community Justice Division.
