William and Nona Heaslip Scholarship

Two scholarships of $15,000 each are offered by The William and Nona Heaslip Foundation to undergraduate students entering their second year of study in the Faculty of Arts. The donors' contribution is matched in part by the Faculty of Arts. In selecting recipients, consideration is given to strong academic performance (minimum 75% average), financial need, and community involvement. The award is renewable for an additional two years or until a first undergraduate degree is obtained (whichever is the shorter period). Potentially eligible students have been contacted by e-mail. A student who has not received an e-mail on this award and who feels that he or she is eligible should send an e-mail note to Dana Fister at the following address: sec.students@ubc.ca. The awards are made on the recommendation of a selection committee within the Faculty of Arts.
