The Vernon Women in Business provide two annual awards of $500 each for students who have completed one or more years of full-time study in any university transfer, degree or diploma program at the Kalamalka Campus of Okanagan College. The recipient must be, in order of preference: a) a permanent resident of the Vernon/North Okanagan Regional District who will be proceeding to any post-secondary institution the following September for a subsequent year of full-time study; or b) a non-resident of the Vernon/North Okanagan Regional District who must return to the Kalamalka Campus the following September for a subsequent year of full-time study. Previous recipients of a VWIB award are ineligible. Selection of award recipients will be based on a combination of academic achievement and financial need.
