Conditions: To be awarded once every three years to a student with superior academic achievement entering the University of Alberta from high school or transferring to the University of Alberta from another postsecondary institution who will be a member of the Pandas Basketball Team and fulfills all team requirements as determined by the head coach. Recipient will be selected on the basis of academic standing and excellence in basketball. This scholarship is renewable for a further two years provided the recipient maintains a minimum grade point average of 2.0 if in undergraduate studies and a minimum grade point average of 2.7 if in graduate studies, on a minimum of 18 units of course weight taken during the previous academic year and a practice and training program acceptable to their coach.
