John and Nancy Woodworth have established two annual awards of $1,000 each for students entering the first year of full-time study in a university transfer or degree program at any campus of Okanagan College. Recipients must be permanent residents of the Okanagan College region. The recipients will demonstrate contributions to their community in culture, voluntary service, sports or other community work, and MUST INCLUDE A LETTER OF REFERENCE CONFIRMING THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY. Selection of the award recipients will be based on a combination of academic achievement, contribution to their community, and financial need, with an emphasis on financial need.
