The recipient will be selected by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design in consultation with the IEEE Student Branch Counsellor, and will have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to the McNaughton Centre and related IEEE activities. The McNaughton Centre was established to honour the late General Andrew G.L. McNaughton, scientist, soldier, politician, diplomat, and the inventor of the cathode-ray direction finder.
