Fellowships of $2,000 annually have been endowed through a bequest from Gladys Estella Laird and are offered to graduate students in Chemistry who simultaneously hold major academic awards of more than $10,000. This award is provided to recipients up to and including their fifth year of graduate studies. Receipt of the full value of these awards is contingent on maintenance of eligibility in each of the five years. The awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of Chemistry in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
